iBook G3 follow-up: Since I missed the DHL delivery this morning, I drove out and picked it up; fired it up and voila, I'm back in business--they didn't need to wipe the drive or anything!

Won't know for certain whether the new logic board is working properly until I've run the iBook for awhile, but it boots up fine for now!

Now, if I could just keep the iMac's fans from blowing so loudly so much of the time...changing the energy setting to "Highest Performance" didn't cause any harm but it also hasn't kept the fans from blowing like a hair dryer anytime I do CPU/hard drive/optical drive-intense stuff.

Still, overall, life is good for now :)
