All well said but the ONLY parameter that supposedly differentiates the two is TIME. As one studies the fundamentals and finds evidence to take a position one may be viewed as an investor. Suppose two hours TIME produces evidence of respectable return on that investment. Would one close the position and become a speculator or would the one remain an investor? I see little difference. A man that builds a chair with power tools could be referred to as a carpenter while A man building the same chair with manual tools could be referred to as a craftsman. They both may take a seat and enjoy their work.
Little time has past since finding your board and viewing your charts and having the opportunity to examine your analysis of each. I must say I am now much more involved with my stock picks. I find myself drawing trend lines and such,,mostly for curiosity. However, I am finding with much delight the simplicity and the accuracy charts display.
This month has obviously been GREAT for folks like me,,as I am equally happy to short the market as not. Though the charts seem to be a bit more volatile for a newbie to discern. I will be using my charts more if the future includes me and I offer you thanks as you have given freely a source of fun and potential profit
All I post is just my opinion!
