July 09, 2008 was the last time Expo Holdings publicly states the number of *shares issued*.

what the co. actually wrote was:

The company would like to state that the current issued and outstanding shares of the company are 347,358,619 with an effective float of approximately 294,686,047 shares.

of course this was july 2008 .. and it's now july 2011
and it's been absolutely staggering how well the economy
has been doing over the past 36 months ..

btw in 2009 within the first 2 months mgmt *issued* 2 pr's
indicating the SS .. including the public float

Like most investors I assumed the float lowers after shares are retired, except with Expo's method of accounting the float went up after retiring shares?

==
this investor understands that the SS is fluid .. and because
i do *INTERACT* with multiple TAs' across all trading exchanges

i know differently .. i also understand that the *shares*
that are traded daily <monies> aren't wired into expo holding's
bank acct

==
here is a basic primer by the co.s former IR who explains *basics*

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=33242333

one of the sentences noted is this

Expo has a strong shareholder base now, they have at least 8 people now owning a fairly large chunk of the float. I think the future is pretty bright for Expo.

that post was from oct 2008

i'd been a shareholder for approx 2 months .. with a minor *initial investment*
of 100,000 shares .. and based on the events of sept 2008
<macro> i truly did not believe that expo holdings would survive
due to changes specific to credit seizing up and cash being horded ..

what strikes me with this former IR post is the no. of investors

there are now probably 16 who hold a fairly large chunk of shares
including most if not all of the original 8 noted in oct 2008

significant to me equates to 100M to 600M exph shares ..
i personally interact with 3 of them .. i *know* of 4 others
and with forms uploaded will have *suspicions* of 2 others
either confirmed <or not> .. based on DD done over the years

i'm beyond comfortable that many of these same individuals have
both supported mgmt and tellingly <for multiple reasons>
have never deposited certs into a brokerage acct .. this isn't
something i was aware of in 2008 .. and to be clear it wasn't a
focus of my attn in 2009 .. it was only in 2010 when mgmt first
raised their AS and due to a lack of *share reconciliation*
and ETC not being able to be spun off .. that i started to check
on who held what .. <some of this is very easily sourced> tho'
these individuals too have been maligned via posts over the years

===
i come back to one basic ..

there is no gray here .. if expo's mgmt committed fraud
they will go to jail .. it's that simple to me

so the question becomes what is revealed and when

shareholders of the co. have an end date .. info promised
is long overdue .. specific to forms .. imo most are clued
into the fins .. the nail in the coffin come with the TA's
confirmation re: what is restricted .. what is the OS and
what is the public <free trading> float .. OS - restricted

i'm curious to see if the no. i've been using of <approx> 1 BILLION is close to reality

btw it was on the CC in july 2009 that jd indicated his
guesstimate that the float was approx 100M <the OS then
was approx 980M and the AS was 1 BILLION and the daily
*trading avg* was 40M>

patiently biding my time
