When shareholders put considerable buys at lower bids, the stock goes down
in order for the MMs to be able to sell it, or buy it again themselves! It is as simple as that.
Later on, the stock goes back up when there are no more buys at those low levels.
This rather mechanical process has nothing to do with the company's success or failure.
Actually, is also happens the other way around by raising the PPS.
It is one of the tactics, voluntary or otherwise, of lowering the stock price.
All IMO, of course.
