But HD is under new management now. And many people are questioning what this new management is doing. The Expo stores, buying floor makers and such. Surely they are not being helped by the economy in general. So if the new store strategy and the economy both kick in it should do well from here. If not, not.
I bought it some years ago just because it was at a 52 week low. Sold off a bunch when I thought it was too high and still hold the first 100, which are now free. I could see it doing that again in the next 5 years. But I don't think it has the same growth potential it had in the past.
Ten years ago I use to just by brand name out of favor stocks when they were at a 52 week low. Now I think I know more about the market and I am afraid to do what worked in the past.
