That is a very remarkable claim which appears to contradict what is known. You provide no source or evidence nor even any reasoning to back that up. Given that this is your second post and we have no idea whatsoever how much you know, IMHO a bit of discussion/debate is in order whether you wish it or not.

Note that the Monster Silk worms have successfully produced a silk that is a mixture of spider silk protein and worm silk protein. If the spider silk protein was weakened due to kinking from the silkworm mandibles you would have expected this silk to be weaker. Instead it was about 80% of the strength of pure spider silk. IMHO that's pretty conclusive evidence that there is no kinking induced weakening going on.

Both silks, spider and worm evolved from the same ancestor:

"The comparative data and phylogenetic analyses in this review suggest that the silk-secreting systems of spiders and insects are homologous"
Annual Review of Entomology
Vol. 42: 231-267 (Volume publication date January 1997)
DOI: 10.1146/annurev.ento.42.1.231
That makes it pretty unlikely that such fundamental differences exist that such damage would occur. In fact
the close similarities and common evolutionary pathway are probably what led scientists to believe in the first place that silkworms could make silk using spider silk proteins.

So do you have any evidence or reasoning to back up this IMHO highly dubious claim or is it just pure speculation on your part?
