Another day, the same pattern. A little bit of low volume retail trading all day and then during the last half hour the big boys comes buying. Today it really started at 15.15.57 ET, when the first of the one per minute 200 share buy was executed. Look at this. You need to read from the bottom to the top. The best ask at the time was about 3500 shares at $3.24

3.24 2 (Q)15.30.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.29.58
3.24 2 (Q)15.29.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.28.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.27.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.26.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.25.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.24.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.23.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.22.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.21.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.20.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.19.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.18.57
3.24 1 (Q)15.17.12
3.24 2 (Q)15.16.57
3.24 2 (Q)15.15.57

See anything unusal? Yep, on the 57th second of every minute a 200 share trade at ask is executed. Once, I saw the pattern and recognized that a big boy had entered and was trying to accumulate without causing the price to go through the roof, I decided to join in and added two batches of 200 shares each at 3.24 to those I had already bought during the day. And then at 15.47.57 the last one per minute trade is done and it goes crazy

3.43 2 (C)15.50.02
3.38 1 (C)15.50.02
3.38 1 (Q)15.50.02
3.38 2 (P)15.50.02
3.28 2 (Q)15.49.33
3.28 2 (Q)15.49.31
3.25 1 (Q)15.48.19
3.25 2 (Q)15.47.57

Now, the trades are just pouring in all market buy orders until 20,000 shares later this trade ends the frenzy

3.61 1 (Q)15.51.53

and after that all is normal retail. Closed at 3.48. I missed the top, had my exit set at 3.65

Now, this is the third day in a row with similar action during the last half hour or so before closing. So far this is a “can’t miss” proposition, buy low during the middle of the day, wait for the run during the last 10-15 minutes and unload, repeat next day
