Elmer, it wasn't a typo. I remember reading that article on the "Cell" months ago, when very credible speculation led to it being named a Playstation 3 type processor. The Inquirer is obviously playing off of that same speculation. Of course, that probably means that "Cell" is wonderful for parallelized vector code to run advanced 3D gaming, but probably terrible in general purpose tasks. I guess you never know, but no one seems to be ponying this chip around as a PC competitor, so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.
