Hate to waste a post on this but as I am sure most know that is NOT the number of shares that would cause a short squeez. People love to use that number to claim a short squeez in the pinkies.

I am sure Mojo will correct me if I explain it wrong.

That is the number of shares that did not actually clear.

example: I sell 100 shares to you and you buy then sell them. Your stocks have not been delivered to your broker before you sold so your 100 sell are on that short list.

That list means nothing. Only thing it is good for is pumping to newbs
