Wow...I see a whole pile of hand wringing posts, having nothing to do with TA, and more to do with hunches and beliefs and regrets and silly no-intell interpretations of management and company outcomes and a PR with less meat in it than a dog would bother with on a hunger...to explain the drop in price.
Oh let's blame Crammer...lol. (although, as usual as a hedger, he got the ball rolling by striking FEAR into retail..."got to get a stop loss set up fast or else.")
And the typical..."we're in it together through thick or thin." despite losing our collective arses posts.
In other words, a bit like my Heat team looked against the Pistons in Saturday's game 6...pass the tissue...and a map to the basket.
Bottom line...You are trading (investing) in a stock which the market (read big boys) knows it has time to play with. It's called "making a market" in a stock. Heck, if everyone was long and holding...there would be no trading and no volume...right? What fun would that be?
So today, you saw the boys have some great fun. They wiped out a pile of long holders' shares to get for their very own. Whose fault was that?
Longs with stop loss sell orders should look hard in a mirror for that answer.
Fundamentally...the company had no complicity.
The shareholders did it.
