Thank you for your email today with information on the next Printed Electronics conference.
We attended Printed Electronics in San Jose in late 2010. It was an excellent conference but had almost no presentations on QD other than QMC's Chief Science Officer, Dr. Jabbour's talk on "Low Cost, Highly Efficient Quantum Dot Based Solar Cells".
At the 2011 Semicon West "Extreme LED" section there was only one company speaking on QD in an SSL application. Although QD are well represented in the research arena, it is understandable that their general high cost has meant that most companies are not exploring commercial QD uses. Awareness of the current availability of quantum dots from QMC is still low in the industry's consciousness and QD are still at a very early stage of adoption commercially. The common nanotech industry market research report perception is that high quality, low cost QD proliferation is still more than five to ten years away. We are working hard to change that perception and we will PR more about our activities in the coming weeks and months.
Anyone who read our last PR June 23rd knows Access2Flow is making great strides scaling QD production through continuous flow processing of our unique quantum dot synthesis method. Our QD synthesis increases quantum dot quality, conversion and selectivity while lowering QD cost dramatically. A2F's continuous flow processing lowers QD cost even more dramatically through economies of scaling. "Breakthrough" and "paradigm-changing" are the most appropriate words for these key QD technologies. Producing the highest quality quantum dots, virtually unlimited quantity and at industry lowest cost is our goal and formula for success. As our quantum dot technologies become better known, opportunities will open up for Quantum Materials Corporation in all areas of nanotechnology.
