pennyheaven: A bit of recent historical facts suggests that, yes, we just may get some news we've been waiting for before June 30th. Remember, the next Virgin court date is set for 6/21/05. Let's say it goes well and no more future court dates are set becuase the agreement is satisfactory to both parties. Realistically, it would then take at least a few days for everything to be finalized and the legal dealings cleared up and swept away.
Later that week, on Friday, if recent past history continues to play out, will be the next date that we should see an S4 filing by CF selling some shares. If that occurs, then as well, if recent past history continues to play out, we should see news regarding PC released early the next week. It would then seem plausible that any PC news we would see could very well could contain information regarding some detail of the Virgin settlement.
I, for one, do not believe the Virgin outcome is already fully "baked" into the current stock price. Why? Simple...because nobody knows what that outcome will be. Sure, there may be some level of certainty of a positive outcome "baked" into the current stock price, but how can anybody say for certainty to what degree the positive outcome will be.
Will it just be a simpe "yes", we agree that we were wrong and NeoMedia owns the patents? That's it. No money changing hands, no real deal, no licence agreement, no partnership formed, nothing. I highly doubt that. Why? If that were the case, it shouldn't take two extra whole months to hammer out an "agreement" like that.
Or, will it be a King Daddy, just what we've been looking for and more, higher degree of positive outcome that includes monetary payments, licence agreement, partnership or more?
Time will tell. Be patient. Never look for a stock to do what you want it to do on your own timetable. Events almost always take longer than people would first expect. Again, be patient.
Do I think we will see $1 or even .75 by June 30th? Yes. But, don't you dare hold me to it! ;)
Again, recent CF sales and PC NR's...every 5 weeks for the past three months, like clockwork:
3/11: CF sells - 3/15: PC news
4/15: CF sells - 4/18: PC news
5/20: CF sells - 5/24: PC news
6/24: CF sells??? - 6/27>6/30: PC news???
...my guess is "yes" and "yes" ;)
