Jeff,

You are correct that BIIB has refuted the death of patient #4. Here is the link:

http://www.marketwatch.com/news/yhoo/story.asp?source=blq/yhoo&siteid=yhoo&dist=yhoo&gui...

Pertinent statement:
Biogen refuted the Globe report early Thursday, stating that only two PML patients have died, while a third victim survived. The company would not comment on the specifics of the fourth case in question, stating only the patient was alive.

It is important to note that none of the information Krasner printed is confirmed. This patient was not in any of the trials and could have had a maximum of 3 Tysabri infusions only.

The timing of the story is highly suspect, but it is the 2nd time Krasner has done this, and it comes as no surprise. Jim Mullens is no doubt rewriting his comments for the BIIB AGM tomorrow. Where I believe they will still refuse specific detail comments, as they have been requested to do by the FDA, I think he will do his best to reassure his shareholders.

I do not expect that this will have any effect on the return of Ty, but I do think they should consider a warning label to shareholders precluding anyone with a known heart condition from buying the stock. <g>

FWIW, I was a buyer this morning.
