YRCW interests me (although I own no shares). Being in the freight business, I know they are doing better than they were from talking to to my local sales rep and some of the upper management in Nor Cal. They merged with yellow, own New Penn and reddaway. Add that to their existing fleet and you are talking about the biggest freight company in the US (and not to mention they partnered/own reimer in canada... which destroys everyone canadian rates).

So the potential is definitely there. Managment needs to step up and provide a solid business plan to turn that potential into profits.

I think more the issue is market share. You have Fedex and UPS slowing but surely dipping their hands into the freight world. Fedex freight been going for a bit, but UPS freight with its out of the blue purchase of overnite solidified its role as a player. More of a problem is that these companies have the $$$$ to back it up and challenge YRC.

So we shall see... just some thoughts....
