Phar is AMAZING! Here is the email regarding the patents for 2007 and 2010...AMAZING!

"The latest patents that have been filed by Howard are still pending, and hopefully will remain pending for at least another 18 months. The 2007 patent was refiled for pending status earlier this year, and the 2010 patent was filed last month.

Several older patents have been released to the public domain over the years. These were the original patents filed back in the 90s, that could not be stabilized and therefore were released to the public domain. The latest patents have not been released, and we hope will not be released for some time. Eventually the USPTO will force their release, however.

Generally, a patent holder will hold the release for as long as possible, to avoid others from copycatting their product. This results in spending more time defending your patent in court than making your product. However if the patented product does not work as intended, a patent holder will make improvements to the patent and release the original to the public domain. What is not released to the public domain for Aquaprin are those improvements to the patent that stabilize the product.

Think of it this way: Many companies over the years have attempted to duplicate Coca Cola, but none have succeeded. Now, if Coca Cola released their patented formula to the public domain, then they would spend all of their time suing companies that were using their formula. We will not release our formula into the public domain for as long as legally possible.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
