You need to reread then. The time frame where JD was wholly considered a good guy was actually pretty short. The bottom line there is people were tricked by all of the crap they put in print and all of the sales calls JD made.

The opposition grew strong when the crapinets were unveiled.

Lots of stubborn people knew then in their hearts they had been had, but didnt want to admit it. When JD assured them repeatedly that the revenues were there they held on to hope.

When the numbers came out and only a fool could continue to support the man after how he had lied, well it is obvious why the opposition became the vast majority.
