Took the family this weekend to see Madagascar.......Totally overrated! First off, it was very short about an hour and 15 minutes or so, however, the first half of the movie seemed to take forever to progress. Sure, the graphics were lovely, but haven't we all come to expect that by now? I thought there was way too much talking for young kids and many of the adult references were very vague or totally lost in the movie. Perhaps our expectations were too high?
I'd give the movie 2 1/4 pickles and I'm probably deducting extra for them having the audacity to claim it's the next Shrek. The penguins were the only thing that made it worth paying attention.
