Very important post Dr, and your insight is so vital in helping me understand. The complex situation of getting PHR before EMR has been a sticking point for Medefile. I concede that Medefile should state upfront an average of copy charges, however simple at least.Navigating the copy costs im sure is one of the biggest headaches for PHR's and those directly involved. The growth in EMR is happening and Medefile needs to MANAGE a trail right behind it.I think they will because they are standing right where the trail is being cut.First in line so to speak.
PS - I would not be sitting here typing without my Dr's help due to a staff infection years ago..best of luck

Another note: IMO
The whole point of going with a basic plan to obtain files from just one Dr is I am sure just due to fairness and numbers. One customer has 20 Dr's and a bunch have just one.The service plans needs to reflect this and pull in more customers.Especially when Medefile is selling to Group clients.Having said that I understand the very idea seems to minimizes the big picture. Like everything else at Medefile it is groundbreaking.
