Partisan politics are strongly discouraged here because we will never see the end of the bickering.

These are absolute historic times. 40% of GDP is now gobbled up by fed/state/local governments. Democrats want that increased to 50%+....at which point the soft tyranny controlling our lives will be complete and irreversible. Republicans want to reduce the total govt. burden to 30% or less of GDP. At that point, the American dream will be restored. The difference is about $3 TRILLION a year. Every one has to ask themselves......do they want that $3 TRILLION dollars to remain in the hands of the private sector and individuals or is the country better off ceding it to the govt.

Besides......I love debating liberal Democratic drones.......keeps me regular.
