I initially research and do LOTS of DD on a company's fundamentals BEFORE I invest... almost always involving phone contact with IR people.

Once invested, I trade MOSTLY by the charts, but keep an eye on fundamental news, CCs etc.

When the fundys got hokey, and the charts reflected a negative reaction, I took what I thought was the prudent action.

I missed a few times and lost a significant amount of POTENTIAL profit, but , overall, have not lost anything - in fact, I have made out quite well, but I am a disciplined and experienced trader -- and, I might add - NOT GULLIBLE AT ALL ---:0))
