The VideoCrunch compression makes lossless or lossy video possible on up to literally 1000's of cameras on a network. Each camera has the compression built into it. The Digital images are compressed at the source and sent out wirelessly. The customer can choose how high def they want to go with the camera systems and that will be the picture sent out to the receiving end. Most surveillance systems only take a picture every few seconds to save storage space. That's why they are so choppy and usually grainy. The VideoCrunch compression was designed for military specs. You can't fly a Predator and identify targets if you don't have a totally lossless HD real time picture. Apply this type of technology to civilian market. It's easy to see the endless uses.
So if your in a command center and say you have a suspect target vehicle that enters a state. It can be continuously tracked, The system could figure speed by simple time and distance between camera. Radar and laser detection useless. Cordination with patrol vehicles would be simplified. They would have the real time picture of the target vehicle sent to them wirelessly. Communication could be via text instead of voice or could be encrypted. Much of the same type of applications that have been in use with reconnaissance aircraft and command and control aircraft for years. i.e. Burning Wind, Cobra Ball, Rivetjoint, Olive Branch, AWACS, JSTARS. The data is collected and disseminated and sent to the users that need it.
