Might have something for the biometrics side. magazine pain mangement vol 4 no4 6.11 believe month. Latest on E prescribing opiods which dea has approved but making it difficult you have to have 2 factor authentication. Prescribers must use an eprescribing system that will only grant access if a prescriber has two security credentials from among the following three factors. something you know, something you have and something you are.. A standard encrypted passord is adequate for the first factor "something you know" but the second factor has to be either biometric data ie something you are or a hard token or a one time passord generated bya device other than the computer used for prescribing. "something you have." There are 3 or 4 major players for e prescribing. I believe in the past we have talked about small devices with protected iris scanning. I we go and make a device that hooks onto the computer or I pad linked to there system problem solved. "GET ON IT BOYS" lots of doctors out there having to purchase expensive systems that we can't use.
