It looks like it could take four to eight months to design the ASIC and get it ready for production. Once that process is complete, it will take a maximum of four more months to produce the ASIC in mass quanities. However, they have spoken with an overseas fab company that can do it in a much shorter period of time. Worst case scenario is we have mass production finishing up in December '03. Looks like we have more waiting to go but that isn't bad as we now know we have a product. I wonder if, much like the last phase, more money would help speed this stage of the process up?
