So, what is the effect of a major share re-purchase program? Say, after the theoretical upcoming merger, they buy back 3bil shares over the next 6mnths. Is there a calculable effect that would have on PPS, or is is un-quantifiable?

I am not an attorney, accountant, physician, psychologist, priest, broker, bartender, or particularly sympathetic. Take it for what you will, but only IMO.
