I agree with you, there are lot of well established company already in LED market But what makes savwatt different from other companies is 'buy american ' policy. I believe savwatt is one (or only may be) of very few led company which is going to start its production here in USA. That may atteact the government deals as it also create jobs. Thats why we see so much government involvement in this company. From the quick search in betaled website, it look like their production is in taiwan, china. Also they dont have product like ecopole which is one of major attraction of savwatt.
