For the record, a sea-going vessel via a JV with Heddle Marine is still listed in black and white on the JBI website. In turn, I believe it is safe to assume a marine P2O prong is still part of the company business plan.

By the way, maybe it is just because you do not follow the company much, but you seem to be mistaking/confusing the one long-term possible adventure of addressing the garbage patch with the much bigger business plan prong of using a ship to execute mobile P2O in ports of different countries. These two things are very different, but I could see how a very superficial understanding of the company could result in confusion for casual observers.
