I dreamed of all the "toys" I could buy, like fancy cars and the newest and best audio-visual equipment. Now I only think about the freedom it could buy. I'd live the same life style, drive the same 8 year old pick-up truck, live in the same house I can afford to live in now. Except I wouldn't need to work for a living anymore. My wife and I could have the freedom to do what we have wanted to do for several years now, volunteer as medical missionaries in poor countries like Cambodia. Hike the Pacific Rim and Appalachian trails. See Australia without time constraints. I'd like to go back to see New Zealand again. I'd like to hike the Inca trail to Machu Pichu in Peru. I'd like to go back to hike the Torres Del Paine in Patagonia, an astonishingly beautiful place. Hang out in the Italian towns of the Cinque Terra. Tour China. See Mt. Everest (if the unrest in Nepal ever dies down). I could go on and on. I now measure life's goodness by experiences, not more and more stuff. But I wish all the longs who may benefit from CYGX in the future all the personal happiness and satisfaction they can achieve in whatever their dreams are.
