kihei: Good question. I would've assumed that (not knowing how the whole patent process works) they just took the same exact patent "guts" and repackaged them for submission to the EPO and other PO's worldwide. Apparently that's not the case though. I also scanned and couldn't find anything on the EPO patents. But, for reference, here's the U.S. patent that covers RFID.

Now, that's not to say that NeoMedia doesn't have the RFID patent "pending" in the hands of the EPO. And, it's only my opinion that RFID isn't covered in the current awarded European patent portfolio.

Anybody else have another take?
