Seeing the fireworks from the water is great. Having hundreds of boats packed so close together for a few hours and then trying to get back in the marina at 10pm ...... no so great.

So we usually get home at 11:30. Which is fine for my "doesn't need to wake up until 8am" wife. But I get up at 6. There have been a few years where I didn't go because of how late it meant I'd have to stay up.

But they claim the weather's gonna be nice and my assignment is stress free at the moment, so what the heck.
