An especially telling tidbit involved GWB's economic advisor Larry Lindsey who said the Iraq war could cost $200 million-he was promptly fired. At the time, it appeared that the administration was hell-bent on getting the Iraqi oil to pay for our costs but that didn't work out.
GHWB was talked into stopping the carnage of Saddam's retreating troops by Colin Powell.
