All good points. I do not have faith in the government or the EPA; however, since the very early days of fossil fuel use the USA hasn't had a genuine opportunity to be energy independent while maintaining the current infrastructure. This technology if panned out provides that. Considering the three wars we are involved in right now in the region of our source of oil and the associated costs with that plus the fact that something like this could turn our stagnant economy around, plus the nearly trillion dollar market that could to a large extent be brought home or at minimum give us a large stake gives one pause. Perhaps as you say it will not happen; that is, under the current administration, but with the election in 18 months we might have a more receptive group of lawmakers who are anxious about moving and shaking things. That might be just about the time Carbon Sciences is really ready to lead the cause.
