If microthreading is not used, then I would tend to think that the data rate is 1.4GHz because I think that performance will suffer without some kind of boost.

Here’s Sony’s specification for the PS3.

Note: Memory speed for XDR is in data rate. Why would anyone assume that GDRR3 is given as clock speed?
