So we don't know the premium.

Hi Cal and others

I have just today obtained a pricing premium for GDDR3 at the high range (500 MHz clock+) from a manufacturer of whom I will not release the name.

This type of memory sells for 2-2.5 times DDR2 (which is approx. $ 5.90 street price at the moment per 512 Mbit chip).

That translates into approx. $ 12.00 to $ 15.00 per chip. Reported price for XDR is still higher (25-30), but we don't know at what qty that is. (the GDDR is qty pricing)

Cheers
Cor
