Thanks for that in depth, and somewhat lengthy response. I can summarize this in a nutshell. Retirement age, is not static. It should be treated according to actuarial tables just like the rest of life is measured.
I think that should properly apply the the U.S. as well. I suspect some of the EU nations are starting to regret their allegiance to some of the countries which apparently aren't carrying their weight.
