You completely left out the core business! IMO. You expect the core business to get GTE to the profit point, but IMO it will be much more then just reaching a profit point.

Money cards linked to phone transactions and overseas money xferr is the future in the world. Today new phone products are being designed and shown at trade shows. NOW TODAY !

Phones are being made to link directly to personal computers, broadband internet and debit card transactions. They will be able to provide owners instant access and control over all things in a persons life. There already are phones that plug into laptops and you will be able to rent movies, listen to music, swipe store transactions directly through your phone.

This is happening NOW and as the products become more common the uses will increase. I see Gte's SMS protocols/ value added cards, used by phones, and will link money card's to stores, AMT's and prepaid phone services, with out the need to have a plastic card at all. GTE's core services will begin to look more like a bank than communications company. In 2 - 3 years, as these new products in the cell phone industry become more common.

VOIP will be available thru broadband cell phone services and the difference between a communication company and internet access providers and banking and streaming audio/ video will all come under on roof. Wireless !!

People will be shifting money with phones, just like the instant message now. Million and millions of times and hour world wide. Each transaction thru service companies partnered with banks, on credit card approved data switches. receiving fees for each transaction.

IMO people will be wiping out phones for every thing. Wallets to hold plastic will disappear, just like cash left wallets. Mark my word. Your world will be run by cell phone before you know it.

The Strat will benifit this market and really benifit GTE. But this future will be, weather the Strat is successful or not. And GTE will be on the ground floor running, as they see these new oppertunities being used world wide.
