rbtree, I'm not surprised by the price action because the spikes in PPS can be enormous when on the grey sheets going in either direction. Low volume, no real market makers. I was under the impression that you can't trade a grey unless you call your broker. I could be wrong.
What surprises me the most is that a pink stock company actually put out a PR about it today (MTEK). I've been in a pink before that went grey because of a halt based on a false pump (false claims about involvement in the solution for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill). After over one year, that company still does not update shareholders, does not answer phone calls or e mails, phone lines disconnected, basically invisible to shareholders wanting answers.
I've seen PR's and heard forward looking claims from conference calls from MTEK that haven't materialized yet which made me very angry and skeptical but on the other hand, I've seen them change their plans from past statements to better their position in the industry. I haven't noticed any dilution or gross pump and dump tactics either. When I became a bagholder, I started to question them and turned into a 'moderate' basher myself but at this point, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Brent Fouch's past record is unimpressive to say the least but maybe he found his niche this time. Maybe not, time will tell. I hope he succeeds. Call me a dreamer, bonehead, sucker, but if they get back on the pinks quick enough, I will be more than mildly impressed. Bring it on MTEK!
