No one* should forget that the ZF modifications are for a later generation. There is potential news that could come at any time now that is for an earlier generation totally independent and unaffected by anything that does or does not happen with the ZFs.

A company right now is testing a product that could be on the market this year (the product that's a result of the ramping up of the Monster Silk population that;s going on right now, discussed many times recently).

In addition there is the Monster Silk product itself, also entirely independent of anything that does or does not happen with the ZF modifications.

So what people are forgetting is that while the success of the ZF GMs would be exceptionally good news, a lack of success on the first try (almost certainly temporary) would hardly be a disaster.

Heaps of potential news in the pipeline with the two products from Gen1 providing a solid base of support and support at and just beneath this level very well established add up to an excellent entry point in a very solid investment IMHO.
