Thanks bud! Yes, Im holding on.....barely. It was a comical post but was still very true.
So, let me tell you how my weekend was. My dad who has lung cancer and who has been getting chemo treatments also has a pace maker. Well as of yesterday my father's heart is shutting down from the chemo treatments. They had to revive him several times and hit him with the paddles 5 or 6 times. He only has about 15% of his heart working anyway so we knew the chemo would be tough on him. Well, we lost him yesterday.
My wife's father ends up in the hospital with a serious issue on Friday as well. He is doing fine now but having both in the hospital was difficult. So, after we left the hospital on Saturday from my dad at 1030pm. We get a call from my wife's aunt who says that our daughter hayden was stung by a scorpian at her grandmother's house who has an issue with a bark scorpion infestation. I have been telling her to get it sprayed and have granules put down for the last year that we knew that the scorpions were there. I have been stung by one and it was top 3 worst pains that I have ever had in my life. So, I didnt want my daughter to go thru it. Well, that didnt happen and we show up at the hospital and her eyes are shaking back and forth and is convulsing. The worst thing I have ever had to deal with, watching my daughter go thru that. As soon as I got there I asked for the anti-venom for the bark scorpion and these morons said there wasnt any anymore....WRONG!! They have my daughter go thru that pain for 3 hours before they tell us that they are transferring here bcuz of how bad she is to a hospital with the anti-venom. Once we get to that hospital they tell us that the first hospital called them when we first got there and they told them that we could come over asap. So, the first hospital Mayo waited for another 2.5 hours before telling us the amubulance was going to take us over to the other hospital. The 2nd hospital was just blown away that they waited so long to send us over.
We finally got home Sunday morning at 530am in which I had not slept yet (my wife laid in the bed and caught some zzz's with my daughter at the hospital while she received treatment) and I finally got to bed about 630am. I dont sleep much and woke up at 930am for some reason and I get a call to get up to the hospital becuz there is nothing more they can do for my dad.
So, that was my weekend. I know many of you know about my dad and his cancer. The cancer didnt kill him. His heart finally gave out after 9 years from his first heart attack. He was a good man and father. He was a man of values, class, morals, family, and a man who stood by his word. He was loved by all of his children and grand kids. He taught me how to be a better man. He will be missed dearly.
I was hoping to start out this week with good news like the fins coming out but I guess that was too much to ask for.
