Only company knows the true SS at this time. Everything else will be just guesswork. If the float is still tiny (I will call float tiny if it is still less than 50M) then the inherent buying will continue to cover the short and watch the closing price everyday and just ignore intraday swings. If it closes higher everyday then you can assume that company is not diluting and it is just that shares are just exchanging between hands and eventually it will explode soon due to panic short covering and due to unavailability of new shares from the company and since they have to buy what's available from the existing float from current shareholders.
CLosing price for the next couple of days is the key and if ends up green then there is cover going on and cover is happening from existing float imo
