Closest you will likely get to the action, meet lots of nice people, wear nifty clothes, and free food ! This Open is replete with good stuff. I am happy to report that after my shift yesterday I went to the Volunteer Hospitality tent, sat in a/c while munching free goodies both healthy and non, and .......after a ten minute wait had a lovely seated massage which totally rocked! I am fortunate that the giver of back relief was a male or I might be engaged in bigamy.
I met several couples who plan getaways to these events and have a great time volunteering together.
Olympic next year , and I will be looking to work Oakmont and the Long Island course which I can't spell Shinn.....ah you know.
Oh, yeah- the crowds were great and even picked up their trash which is awesome.
