The "spirit" of the law is that fuzzy grey area where judges and and lawyers get away with murder literally and figuratively and that goes both ways depending upon the lawyer and the judge. Laws should be black and white and no room for interpretation as to the way you like it or anyone else likes it. There is too much wiggle room which causes legislation from the bench which is most definitely wrong and there is definitely NO fairness in those cases.
