World Famous Gentlemen’s Club Scores Re-Opens After Hiatus
June 23rd, 2009
by Steve Tomassetti

Renovated and under new management

Renowned New York Institution SCORES announces its re-opening and restoration, after closing for a short time. The legendary gentlemen’s club, made famous by notorious radio host Howard Stern, is once again playing host to a star-studded clientele that frequented the establishment in the 90’s.

Located at 536 West 28th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenues, the vast Chelsea space that once housed Scores West, has been extravagantly renovated to feature a restaurant modeled after the internationally acclaimed Roberts Steakhouse. Like its sister establishment, Roberts Restaurant will serve top-rated cuisine with a trendy twist to keep pace with New York’s gastronomic scene.

The new space offers 10,000 square feet of adult entertainment and accommodations for over five hundred guests. The visual focal-point of the club is a one of a kind proscenium stage framed by flat screen televisions. The refurbished SCORES also features Vegas-worthy light shows, multiple satellite stages and an LED paved runway, to create a high-tech, multi-media ambiance.

In addition to the nightly lineup of entertainers, each of whom are headliners in their own rights, expect to see edgier burlesque type acts and cutting edge performance art aimed at ushering the upscale gentlemen’s club into the next level of modern era of adult entertainment.

Executive Chef Will Savarese will be lending his classical culinary skills to the kitchen of Roberts. Will’s accomplished resume boasts celebrated names like Le Cirque and Aureole as well as a lengthy stint at Le Cote Basque and La Cremaillere, where he was the Executive Chef and helped garner a 3 star rating from the New York Times.

“Our mission is to bring back all the elements that made SCORES famous: the glamour, the celebrity and that sense of the unexpected,” says Mark Yackow. Eventually, we plan to expand across the country, but for now, we’re focused on our hometown.

SCORES will feature eighteen individually-themed private rooms, many with their own flat screens, sound systems and temperature controls, ranging from the whimsical Celebrity Rooms to the ultra spacious Presidential Suites, secluded on their own mezzanine for the end all in privacy and luxury
