International Power Group, Ltd., incorporated on November 30, 1998, focuses to build and operate WTE facilities (WTE) to process solid and hazardous wastes by incineration on its own and through collaboration with partners and others. Its business plan is to locate, finance, build and operate WTE facilities for governmental entities and others charged with the disposal of municipal, commercial, industrial and certain hazardous wastes. It intends to focus on municipalities that have significant waste-handling and land fill problems and areas that can benefit from potable water and additional electricity production. Its primary marketing focus includes direct contact with government officials and large producers and handlers of waste.
International Power Group has access to components and technologies that incinerate solid waste and hazardous waste at high temperatures. The incinerator produces steam, which drives a turbine which produces electricity and condenses the steam into water. The electricity and steam drive further processes which scrub smoke-stack air emissions, produce potable water, ash and enough excess electricity to sell. The Company purchased technologies, including Add-Power, a low temperature turbine (LTT), and ScrubPower, a special emission-to-energy system, from Anovo AB Angelholm, Add-Power AB Angelholm, and SUPE Ltd.
International Power Group entered into a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Protocol Agreement with the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The purpose of the agreement, which was entered into in September 2007, is to be facilitated by a joint venture between its Company and Desert Blue Company, a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provider of environmental cleanup and waste recycling and recovery solutions. International Power Group has not realized any WTE related revenues out this joint venture.
