luperon was a full blown casino with lots of moving parts and lots of staff and ended up being not enough locals in that area wanting to gamble. pretty simple to understand scenario.

the slots parlor has a skeleton staff of i would think usually one, possibly two staff on duty at a time, is open 24/7, is filled with the most sure fire money makers of any casino - slot machines - operating and making money all day and all night, has relatively much less overhead costs involved, and reportedly is very popular and well attended by the locals right out of the gate. again, a pretty simple to understand scenario.

btw armando is NOT a co-owner. he owns some shares in the company, just like many of us on this message board do, because the sosua casino is located in armando's hotel, and that was part of the deal. armando owning shares is the extent of his involvement in the company.
