Varney is no Venter, or Boger, or even Waksal. It seemed like a good bet to me that a blind, neutered, three-legged dog that answers to the name of "lucky" can find his feeding troth by the light of a new moon. I'm back in because I think this dog will hunt, and sniff out a way to avoid the euthanasia pen until this winter.
