A reverse split usually means the company is in trouble and needs money or needs the PPS to go up so it can be listed on a higher exchange. It's true that the value of your investment will be the same at first but will be taken advantage of by traders who prey on this activity and/or the company now being able to dilute again back down to oblivion.
