Selling Reader Rabbit on eBay might present a problem for Ken. Manufacturers usually have "non compete" clauses with their distributors and retailers. They can usually sell their product from their own websites without any competition problems but when you start trying to sell your product by other means that would be viewed as unwanted competition, your distributors and retailers will complain. The selling price would present another issue concerning "under cutting" the product to gain sales. Again, another problem with the distributors and retailers. They are in it to make a profit and don't want to compete with the manufacturer.
