youre right in the reasonable possibility that this is mostly part of their agressive culture of negotiating what they're really willing to Settle for... posturing and acting out for negotiations.
i think they may basically want settlements within other countries economic zones by saying.....I'll tell you what, we'll give you the economic zones which you already had and we get the whole of the spratlys.
But for them to think that anyone would actually let them drill and pump and distribute their vietnam, philipino, malaysian oil from their land and be honorable and accountable for it is insane.....how could anyone trust them in their land again after this behavior? they are not mentally well or they are of a culture i care nothing to do with.
