the last 4 posts include china issuing a number of contradicting statements.....
most notably ....they didnt do anything on the iroquois, amy douglas reed bank other than surveilance........... and then saying point blank that the philippines CANT have the reed bank because its theres according to a centuries old map.....and that china cant possibly be breaking any laws because they own everything already says grandfather CHOW
For centuries, ooops....Except for after world war two where they were controled by the japs.

another contradiction
china is strong on its position that they control the entire area..........but they are willing to talk?.....they are open to doing joint ventures with others in drilling.........what the hell is that? joint drilling where? on the other side of palawan after they forcefully take the reed bank? these guys are smoking opium again, I'm sure of it.

The only question for an international lawyer would be if such a precedent exists where ocean rights continue to exist as being grandfathered and overrulling something like a 200 nautical mile economic zone protected under ucnlos.......if anyone has studied that type of area in the law please feel free to chirp in.
