Market Opportunity

SISOM’s customers are manufacturers of energy devices that produce large area devices. These customers sell their devices in the following markets: photovoltaics ($1.9 billion by 2013, DisplayBank); energy storage ($250 million by 2014, LUX Research); flexible LCD displays ($5 billion by 2014; DisplayBank); LEDs ($5.3 billion in 2009; Databeans). SISOM is pursuing strategic partnerships, similar to Planar, in solar, LED and other markets. In the solar market, SISOM partners will be thin film solar cell companies, while LED partners may be any existing LED companies. SISOM uses an executive sales model to reach its customers.

SISOM is seeking companies interested in licensing the low cost proprietary solar energy technology. Competitors in the solid state film deposition industry are in two unique areas: traditional vacuum deposition (evaporation, sputtering, Chemical Vapor Deposition, etc.) and traditional wet/print deposition (electrochemical bath, nano-ink jet, etc.).
